Sino- Norwegian cooperation in China and Europe partnership on sustainable urbanisation was held on April 18th in Beijing. The event was gathered with representatives from China Research Institute of Urban Planning and Design, Norwegian University of Science and Technology and other China and EU S&T facilities. The event aimed at strengthening the cooperation on sustainable urbanisation between China and EU, and exploring the smart city driven by innovation.
The conference attracted more than 150 Chinese and foreign experts, scholars and business representatives. Thomas Hansteen, General Advisor to the Norwegian Research Council, moderated over a round-table discussion. Delegations from China and Norway exchanged views on the innovative cooperation between the two countries in the China-EU urbanisation project, and further clarified the follow-up process of the memorandum of understanding between the China Research Institute of Urban Planning and Design and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Furthermore, the brand new Centre of Excellence ENRICH in China was presented. The participants had the chance to know more about the services provided by the centre, as well as being informed on upcoming activities.
