The Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), in collaboration with the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), is promoting a special support, “RESEARCH 4 COVID-19”, to R&D projects and initiatives that respond to the needs of the National Health Service in response to this and future pandemics in a very short time horizon.
The proposed R&D projects should contribute to improving the response of health systems to the impact of COVID-19, contributing to better patient management and/or the implementation of public health measures, in line with the provisions of the National Health Plan of Preparation and Response to Disease due to new coronavirus (COVID-19) from the Portuguese General Directorate of Health.
Proposals will be submitted in two different application periods. The first period is between March 24 and April 5 at 17:00 (Lisbon time). The second application period will be opened taking into account the evolution of the situation, expectedly one month after the completion of the first application period.
